Campground not RV Park

We are trying out the Yukon Government Campgrounds.  They are light on the amenities but there are lots of trees, sites are pretty level, and pit toilets are clean.  Best thing, firewood comes with the site.  We have had two nights in a row of roaring campfires with S’mores one night and blueberry campfire iron pies the next.  It doesn’t get much better than that.

Night 1: camp was very quiet and we listened to the changing bird calls as the sky grew darker…never really dark mind you.  It was still light enough to read when we went to bed at 11PM.

Night 2:  Skeeters were a bit more persistent and we were lucky enough to have a neighbor who felt compelled to entertain us with his eclectic taste in music.  Of the two types of entertainment I definitely enjoyed the natural ones more!   Still, it was a lively evening.
