A Friday Thanksgiving for us

Look at this turkey. turkeydinnercomp_7696Not perfect but pretty good for this cook who hasn’t roasted one in years.  We had all the sides, even some lump-free pan gravy!  Brian and Johnna joined us at our humble little home for a wonderful afternoon.  Some local wines paired nicely: a rich Messina Hof Cabernet Sauvignon (Texas) and a light sweet New Mexico Riesling from Heart of the Desert winery.  It was all capped off with pumpkin and derby pie.  No one left hungry.
