At an elevation of 7500 ft an outboard doesn’t quite perform….at least not one tuned for the lowlands like ours. We had to shift weight way forward to be able to get up on plane. Kent found a formula on line and calculated that we loose about 10HP in this thin air, effectively making our 40 a 30HP.
