The arboretum at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is a bit different scale than most I have been to.  We are talking entire groves: Oak, Maple, and conifers plus sections showcasing desert plant life.

No new birds but I watched a hawk family as mom and dad coached their fledgling in basic flight techniques. He seemed to be getting the hang of it.
