The Organ
I was a bit disappointed at the organ recital at the Mormon Tabernacle. It is a beautiful place with its own unique natural acoustics. The organ is magnificent; but, he didn’t play anything “Big” to let me really feel the rumble of the low pipes or hear the dance of the highest flute pipes. Still, glad we stopped in to hear it.
The flowers!
Oh, my gosh. They are everywhere. It is Spring in Temple Square. Planters line the sidewalks and surround the many fountains and statues. Bright patches filled with orange and yellow poppies. More subdued patches filled with reds, purples and even black. It must take an army of gardeners but the end result is a wonderfully uplifting, glorious space.
